I was in the army during Don't Ask, Don't Tell, where if they found out a soldier was gay they would put them and discharge them non-honorably. Command didn't like it and as far as actual soldiers were concerned being gay was a shitty reason to lose a well trained rifleman or tank mechanic.

The army is a very diverse place. If more of you hillbillies served you might be more tolerant of people unlike yourselves.

Did 2 tours 1 in Iraq 1 in Afghanistan.
Libbies like you could never respect my service, though.
