so my uncle bought this bullshit iHome wireless mouse, as soon as he plugged in the usb receiver it instantly powers off the computer, it crashed it and ruined it, the computer's internet does not work right anymore idk what the deal is with it i reset all the ports and etc... i did everything you can to reset the connection, there is nothing wrong with the actual modem or router or anything and everything else that connects to it is fine. but after plugging in that receiver it powered off the computer instantly, and i tried it again, same thing, then i tried it in another computer, one i didnt care about, bam instant power off.

anyone ever experience this? ive never seen anything like it and i want to know if its common, i googled it and couldnt find anyone with the exact same problem, could it be just some faulty receiver that ruins computers? its so fucking strange i just dont know what to do, kinda want to take it back to the store and ask them to plug it into their computer and when it wrecks theirs too give them the receipt for the new computer he just bought and ask to be compensated, because that ended up being the solution, having to buy a new computer, dont get me wrong, the computer i was using was old, and i only had him buy a 500 buck replacement, so not asking for the world, not trying to get a gaming system or anything just something we can keep doing the bills on in his shop.

yeah basic, your computer was so weak it couldn't handle too many ports being used up.

Might be incompatible usb, there is usb 1 2 and 3, so maybe the usb hub is an older one or maybe your computer in not updated to accept usb 3, idk, gl.
