Africa is 3 times bigger than the EU.

If the folks in Africa don't like what's happening in Africa, then they should do something about what's happening in Africa.

Same with the Middle East for that matter.

It's OK for the other countries in the world to fight and die for THEIR own

This refugee crap is getting seriously out of hand.way of life, but Africa and the Middle East are ....exempt? BS!

It's like the parable about the grasshopper and the ant. It seems it's ok for all the OTHER countries to be... "ants"...aka do all the work and fighting to make their own countries nice places to live.

So now the "grasshoppers" want a free ride...aka, the benefits of all the hard work.... w/o all the hard work. WTF ?!?

I guess it would be easier if they weren't accused of secretly developing WMDs, blocked from international trade, having their infrastructures razed by NATO, or forced to deal with corrupt dictators sponsored by stronger foreign powers.

Oh, and those "stronger foreign powers", where just born that way...no effort on their part? :/
Btw, they were developing WMD...and got caught.

Remember stuxnet, that was a cyber warfare tool to mess up the Middle East's nuclear processing labs.

/e ...the labs that they denied they were developing.

Not to mention that this BS has been going on in the Middle East since the dawn of time. The Middle East was once a world power. Then they got lazy.

Another example of the failure of the EU as an organization. Brexit is the beginning, the organization is going to fall apart as nations get out to protect their sovereignty.

at the current rate, the EU is finished indeed
there should be bets available for the next country to leave

After the evil "imperials" left one of the first things that the Africans did was rip up irrigation pipes to sell the copper.

thats racist :o

You need to stop using the term middle east incorrectly. It really shows how little you know about the region.

Exactly.

It's just like the EU. I'm quite sure that all the countries in Europe, wanted to remain individual countries with no political "joining up with the EU". But that system was no longer workable.
So they got together, gave up some political identity and joined with each other into a more workable solution... the EU.

That's probably the best solution for Africa as well...come up with an... AU.

Same with the Middle East, for that matter. Come up with a MEU.

Neither Africa nor the middle east are one entity, saying they should take care of their own is nonsensical and portrays a fundamental ignorance of the region.

every nation's fate is their own business first and foremost. there is nothing nonsensical about the concept of self-responsibility and of doing everything in one's power to sustain oneself before resorting to a "beggar-thy-neighbor" strategy. europe is not the dump for africa's overpopulation.

Countries (borders) are made by people...they didn't come pre-installed with the Earth. Ignoring this fact is just plain stoopid.

If Africa can not be successful in the global economy with their internal borders the way they are...then move them. Ya know...just like every one else had to do.

Holy damn, did you even read this post before submitting it?

The point is that you cannot make "The Middle East" or "Africa" respond to any of the current problems, because the migration crisis is the result of many different factors that are not the same in each of those countries. "The Middle East" is not an entity. You cannot make "The Middle East" take responsibility over anything.

How many sovereign nations does Africa and the Middle East have?

Sure THEY can... just like Europe did when they realized that as individual countries, they couldn't compete in the global economy any more.

Africa can create an AU, the Middle East can create a MEU.

But no...it's too hard to do that. It's much easier to just flood other countries with folk, that bring nothing to the table.
That way, they can keep their little tribes, and keep fighting amongst themselves.

I seem to remember a Civil War in the US. We worked it out. It wasn't easy...a lot of folks died. A lot that didn't spent the rest of their lives with missing limbs and a lot of heartache.
But....in the grand scheme of things...the US was/is better off as a whole entity, rather than a couple of squabbling entities.

Again...it's called civilization.

It is easier considering you just explained that it took a civil war in the United States and two world wars in europe.

You don't even read what you type do you?

You understand nothing about history or geopolitics.
