Quote
Sale struck out Calhoun to complete a sixth scoreless inning Friday night in the Boston Red Sox's 6-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels. It marked Sale's 200th strikeout of the season in his 20th start, putting the ace lefty in a class with Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez -- Hall of Famers all -- as the only pitchers to fan that many hitters in 20 or fewer starts.

But Sale's dominance is even more historic. He has reached 200 strikeouts in only 141⅓ innings, fewer than any American League pitcher in a season, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Johnson did it in 143 innings in 1995, and Martinez got to 200 in 147 innings in 1999.

We'll see who wins a World Series first before any thanking begins, but yeah obviously most red sox fans didnt want to give him up myself included but no regrets now, sale is the real deal.

Lol I'll take an ace at the top of the rotation over any position player.

You may be right
But we got an ace

Hopefully it works out for both, but we've had plenty of great position players
Haven't had a Chris Sale in a loooooong time

You never know. I love the deal for both sides.
Great trade by Red Sox not overvaluing prospects and realizing what they could / were getting.

Great trade by White Sox for selling high on a promising young kid that could be a cornerstone for them
