i just don't think there was really any line of communication between spicer and trump
hard to represent the president when you have no idea what the president thinks about anything
or the president has a habit of saying the exact opposite of what you just said
probably the same reason his legal staffers are steadily jumping ship and being replaced
communicate, men
it's not that hard
To be fair to Spicer, I don't think the President even has developed positions or ideas.
This is a man (Trump) who, when running for president, took every position whenever it was convenient or sounded good for the situation. This is a man who offered potential VPs control over both foreign and domestic policy (i.e. everything). His daily briefings are bullet points that often include his name (so he pays attention because he's more likely to keep reading it if his name is in it) and lots and lots of visuals.
What has Trump actually done but be a warm body?
He nominated a Supreme Court justice and proceeded to do nothing to help confirm him because the Senate republicans were able to nuke him through.
He signed a bunch of executive orders, most of which are written oddly, open-ended and non-concrete.
Where has he been in terms of domestic policy in the last six months? He never made any effort for healthcare reform.
If you take away the "GOP" as I know it in the Congress, can anyone here actually speak about what Trump himself wants or thinks or hopes for?
I feel bad for the press secretaries. The reason they dodge questions all day long is because they're not trying to hide anything... they're trying to hide nothing!
