CX is old. CXM is new. They're not the same.

And he said cx750m. It's old, it's junk.
Never said cx is cxm either. Cx series shit is so shit and corsair knows, so they got great Wall to make cxm, even then theres better alternatives out there.

Unless he meant grey label, but assuming it's the green since his friend went through 2 in 4 yrs.

Show me a review talking about how CXMs are shit.

A CX450M is $39 after mail-in rebate. Pretty sure no better deal exists.

You do realize, cx750m existed long before cxm series came out correct?
There are CX series that have cx750 and cx750m which are both the same aside from non mod/semi mod.

You're confusing that cx750m automatically means CXM. He said his friend went through 2 in 4 years, so im assuming it's the green junk, not the grey label by greatwall cxm.
CXM didnt exist 4 years ago, and if DCSS's friend got the CXM model last year for his 2nd psu and it broke down, what does that say about it?

Don't need a review to know that cx series are junk. Most ppl that built computers for a while should know the CX are junk. They were only huge and popular back in the days because there wasn't any competition at that price range/quality.

Even the review you linked for the CXM is giving it a low build quality score.
Ofc it's still good for a budget psu, but like i said better alternatives out there.
Greatwall are far better than CWT, but that's still not comparable to seasonic/superflower quality.

Also, who buys 450w anymore? u make a lot of builds for casual/business users??
If you think $39 after MIR is great, with 20-25 days of shipping then you need to do more research
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/TgW9TW/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii520bronze
is 34 after MIR, full mod, more wattage headspace, seasonic etc.etc.

Most single GPU builds are fine on 450w.

It says that his friend is burning up PSUs because even garbage ones rarely die that quickly.

Again, for casuals its fine.

U really gonna recommend ppl with 7700k/1700 and 1070/1080ti+ to oc with a cxm450 just cuz it'll be fine? I mean go for it I guess, everyone can have their own opinions but most ppl would go with the full mod 520w seasonic for cheaper with 20-25 day wait less shipping out of the 2 options.

What does psu from 2010 have to do with the quality? Ur also looking at the old version buddy, this one is fully modular and updated version of the said initial release back in 2010, which released around late 2015/16.

I mean, shit I thought you relying on reddit hearsay for 350 mobos msi/asrock being #1 was ridiculous, this is even worse. I guess it's my mistake to expect anything more from ya.

You can help Xrmd update his msi tomahawk bios, he pmd me for help since his having stability issues when having his rams to 3000mhz. He just needs to update it,like any other mobos.

Lol it doesn't, I agree they're all the same class. To my knowledge cx/cxm fail more than the 500b
