Are there currently any relatively popular games out there with player-owned buildings/towns?

Not really looking for a game like Second Life, which isn't even really a game. More of an actual game, but with owning property/buildings in a town a part of the game

Since when are the buildings/towns in runescape player-owned? o.o

Archeage looks interesting, but has horrible reviews for some reason
