is there a way to have internet connection (preferably at good speeds) that does not require a contract with your cell phone provider?

I know Verizon offers something like this. But I believe it is a contract.

i think there are some prepaid ones but wanted more info from someone with experience on this

$5 discount if you use auto pay.

$95 total each month for unlimited everything including hotspot. No contract.

It's monthly, but it's part of your cell contract. Basically using your phone as an LTE hotspot.
