Some less power hungry cards can draw enough power from pci-e slot. Did you buy it new? does it powers on and no picture? Are you plugging your monitor into the card and not on board gpu?

Assuming the old 660 worked...then just remove it, put the 1050Ti in the same slot...reboot the computer...TWICE. Sometimes the vid card driver gets confused when you swap out vid cards. Rebooting TWICE, will un-confuse it.

Make sure you have hooked up the new card to the monitor...properly. Like make sure you have set the monitor (via it's on screen display) to the right input, if you are using a different cable.

/e The only other thing to check would be that you didn't tighten the vid card screw...down too tightly. Sometimes that can cause the front of the vid card to lift slightly, which breaks contact of some of the vid card pins.

/ee Only other thing I would check is that you didn't bump the RAM sticks when changing vid cards. Just carefully re-seat the RAM as well.

Make sure you uninstall the old video card drivers from within safe mode before doing so! Not doing so can and/or WILL cause blue screens on boot!

No it doesn't...and rebooting TWICE after switching the vid cards would have worked also.

Believe it or not...if you have the sound on...you CAN reboot TWICE with no display.

/e You just boot the computer and wait for the Windows "sound" then hit ctrl + alt+ delete to reboot a 2nd time.

/ee The GTX 660 and the GTX 1050 Ti would be the same driver.

/eee Every time I switch out my Titan and my 780 Ti this happens. I just reboot twice and all is happy again.
