Well, would you rather I buy the chargers or the broncos for you?

Edit : Please don't ever even joke about me being list runner, I don't want that kind of responsibility. Also, you think people are annoying with claims of our list being corrupt with a guy like Sheriff running the show, imagine how fucking bad it'd be with someone like me in charge.

In that case I assure you that from now on I will only spread lies and slander about you

Suggestions:

Not regarding payouts

1. (SoulOne) Host two teams a day instead of one (auction would start later in August in this case)

Regarding payouts

1. (Terps) Give the #10 overall pick 5% of the pot.
2. (Gangbang) First team to lose a playoff game gets a percentage of the pot
3. (Ianarky) First team out of the playoffs for each conference gets a reward
4. (BardOfXiix) Pay out 100 fg to every team that makes the playoffs ... (Ianarky) 250-500fg
5. (Flopps) Give flat payouts to all playoff teams depending on how far they go ... (Jadeoshbogosh) same concept, but with percentages
6. (Terps) Similar to Nearin's division winner idea in hockey, maybe give WC winners a small percentage of the pot

---

My thoughts: I generally prefer percentages over flat payouts. And I don't want to dice up the pot among too many teams because it devalues the SB winner, but I do want to add value to the middle teams. I like simple payout formulas with fewer winners, since that is easier for the mediator to process.

My only concern about percentage-based payouts is that they really start to eat away at the pot.

My only concern about your posts is that they don't matter, or mean anything.

SB Winner 50%
SB Loser 10%
Last Place 5%
Wildcard Teams 5%
Biggest Win Total Increase 10%
Biggest Loss Total Increase 10%
.500 Record Teams split 10% of the pot (if none, all to SB winner)

Provides incentive to buy previously bad teams, average teams, and obviously good teams

I don't see how flat payouts wouldn't do the same thing lol. I mean, that fg has to come from somewhere regardless, whether it's an even 500 or some uneven percentage that is relatively close.

/unless you're talking about pot donations that are even numbers

The payout would theoretically scale up, and a sufficiently small flat amount would be enough to entice bidders but not enough to take 12% out of the pot.

Ianarky just donated 2,500 to the pot, which will be divided among all of the non-SB playoff teams. So 10 teams will receive 250 just for making the postseason. However, I still think a little something should be given to the WC teams just to make the middle teams a little more enticing... I'm thinking 1% of the pot, which would have been 525fg last year. This would make the payouts: 65% SB winner; 25% SB loser; 6% #1 pick; 1% for each of the four WC teams.

I haven't seen anyone other than SoulOne and Flopps lobby for 2 teams auctioned per day, so I'm just going to auction 1 per day unless more people speak up in favor of that change.

Here's an early SB auction calendar. Let me know if you think something should be changed
