Giving up your sovereignty is a bad idea. The EU will never be able to make a currency stronger than the dollar, and all of the problems that came from the experiment of trying to do so you are still dealing with.

You now have a scenario where people are hitting the EU countries with a hammer in order to make the puzzle pieces fit and you just have to ask yourself if it is all worth it? The bankers need perpetual growth and they will destroy you, and your culture, and your way of life to achieve that which is mathematically impossible.

So I guess calling the EU the United States of Europe wouldn't work?

One thing I admire about the EU is that it's gotta be hard to create a single political body made of countries that have more or less been on their own for 1500 years or so.

/e If the EU can pull it off...I think they will have something ...worth keeping.

I meant that when I said it, and still mean it.

Hah, yes that does somewhat trigger me ^^ Imo it already is an amazing accomplishment to form this type of unity without conflict.
And yet, if we can make it work better, working out most of the flaws it has today. It will be something special in history.

Although I love a good argument, I have to agree with that. It WILL be quite the accomplishment.

Welding such disparate, very old countries into one cohesive political whole, will truly be a serious first in history.

You're going to end up with a bunch of ethnic voting blocks unable to agree on anything, just like the Jews want.

Why not, it's fun ya know?

I disagree. Europe doesn't have all the religious shenanigans going on, that places like the middle east do.

We know. That's why we have to gain the knowledge to stay ahead.
