Alrighty, so I have an old laptop (ASUS X540L) that intermittently won't turn on.
I found something on a forum that said to remove the battery and hold down the power button, re-insert the battery, and try to power on after you plug it in again. This worked.
Just out of curiosity, the next time it wouldn't turn on all I did was unplug it, hold down the power button for thirty seconds, plug it in, and it started right up.
I wouldn't think it would be a dead battery issue, because it won't turn on sometimes even if it's plugged in.
Any insight on this or a more permanent solution?
