MC will help you pick your parts for your budget

Especially considering their prices will be different

Ah, so will their prices be the lowest as well? I don't want to get screwed. XD

I was thinking they will have like 2-3 parts that are low prices and rest I have to get on Newegg / Amazon.

Might as well just get them all there since they will be covered under their warranty. And for 80$ they build it in like an hour

Ordering online will be the best option usually. I don't know what MC is (we call it Maccas :P ) but you will have to wait for all parts to be delivered anyways, so if you order one thing, you can order all of it.

https://pcpartpicker.com/ <-- that is a good place to go. Also do more research than "I am going to the shops tonight"
You plan to spend a substantial sum on a device you plan to use frequently, so put some effort and thought into it.

With 1.5k (US?) $ you should be able to build a very good PC. Rather buy quality than power. Get a Nvidia GPU, I am disappointed by my trip to the AMD range.

I personally am a fan of watercooling, but it is not really necessary, if the extra cost would break your back, rather get a fan for now. Make sure your tower/case is big enough to fit all your stuff.

128-256 MB SSD for the system
1TB+ HDD for storage

Yeah.. Micro center called me a liar about the price they listed online and I was too stupid to print the page out. I initially went there to get a 500GB NVMe Samsung SSD for $159.99 ($209.99 on sale with -$50.00 off if you pick it up). I also contacted them before going in because it took me nearly an hour each way to get there. Once I got there they removed the price online and told me to remove my post I made on this website calling me a liar and that I was advertising the wrong price. To keep it short, I left there very unhappy and did not buy a single thing. Was planning on dropping at least $1200-$1500 on a complete build but wanted to get that first. The general manager said they do not change prices during the day it's all done at midnight and I was lying about their price. I tried to show them the post I made with the pricing but she said that doesn't mean anything and told me she'd do it for $190 if I take off my post. Walked out and said fuck that.

tldr; never going to micro center again, I will spend a few extra bucks to buy it all through amazon and newegg. I can wait, I just wanted it rushed for last night to pick it up all at that one time. :(

i would build around an r7 1700x + 1080 if i was going to dump that many bones on a pc. Should be comfortably doable.
