Shake the entire controller. There is no way to get around using them. Unless you play casually in which case you don't need any of the motion controls.

Using the pro controller, shake to the side for the 360 cap spin, shake up for flipping cap up and vice versa. Same thing applies to handheld mode. Why did they have to make it feel like a necessity to use motion controls? X and Y perform the same action just like A and B. They could've assigned the 360 cap spin to X and the homing cap to A or something. You've got a game like BOTW that uses pretty much every button on the controller then you get this game that basically uses 3 buttons; jump, attack, and crouch. I've gotten into the habit of playing the game in tabletop mode while lying on the floor so I can play lazily and have the joycons in each hand for the motion controls. #firstworldproblems

You can do the 360 cap without motion, just soon the joystick in a circle and throw the cap. The motion controls aren't needed at all unless you are going for a speedrun time.

Good to know on the cap spin. No, motion controls aren't needed but they're useful with the homing cap and climbing faster. With the extra buttons going unused, just seems like a wasted possibility of assigning buttons to those movements.

I agree, it is very annoying that you can't map the spin hat attack to a button on the pro controler...... How did they not think of this, especially so wondering this console is intended to be played both docked and portable.

Switch eshop has a lot of games on sale today. Bought some indie stuff that were on my wish list: flame in the flood, mummy demastered, and sine mora ex.

Late post but did you enjoy it? I bought it after I beat BOTW to further satisfy an RPG itch but that game was imo, a massive disappointment. Felt way too simple overall and I only put in less than 10 hours since I got it several months ago. I'm not huge on JRPGs but I liked Tales of Symphonia on GC.

i enjoyed it but, it is in no way shape or form worth the price.

i got lucky and received a broken case to which amazon gave me a full refund on and i got to keep the game.
