Ive always been told Stay Away from Rebuilt titles, but thats from people who dont mess with cars.

Would you guys stay away, or consider them if priced right?

it all depends on who rebuilds them meaning how good of a job do they do actually fixing the damage and not covering it up for a cheap flip

This. I have bought several for daily drivers that were totaled from cosmetic damage. They drove and looked as good as new but were thousands cheaper.

I just recently bought a. 04 Tacoma that had been involved in a rollover that caused $18k damage back in 2005. I knew this going to look at and thoroughly inspected it and had no issues.

I think if you know what you are looking for and know how to fix things it's a great way to save money. Mine being a rebuilt saved me $6k versus a similar low km option.

I purchased a 2001 Silverado 5 years back that was in an accident. Most reliable truck I've ever owned. It was cheap, reliable and a good running truck. Just make sure the work was done properly. Rebuilt titles aren't a bad thing, but they can also be nightmares if the person who rebuilt the vehicle cut corners.

Depends on the price and build, my very first vehicle was a rebuilt and a guy tboned me and wrote it off. Insurance agency tried to give me way less then what I had payed, I ended up getting it back, but was a serious hassle.
