Simply as it is,
what about a preview option for Donorstars and Orbs?
So you know how it will looks like and maybe you will try to get the special star / orb afterwards.

Both of these already exist, but separately.

and you can preview your star via the star settings.

I think the way it is now works just fine, but I do see where the desire for a feature like this comes from.
I'll hold off on voting for now until more people have responded.
