He's probably just behind... You don't see Jerry in the third episode at all. Seems pretty obvious.

Jerry is referenced in the episode. The fact that you don't see him in the episode doesn't take away from the "pretty obvious" situation he is in with Beth & the kids.

Although you don't see him, its "pretty obvious" that they're still divorced, he is living on his own, and doesn't get to see the kids much. It's "pretty obvious" Jerry got the short end of the stick.

Second episode as kinda "meh" IMO. Still funny but kind of dull.

Third episode - Pickle Rick - is top notch. No Spoilers here :-)
