Awesome game, harder than it used to be though!

100% on #1

I'm done for the day, but I'm going to hit #2 tomorrow. God, I fucking love this game. 1 was way easier than I remember, didn't take me too long to 100%. I'm pretty sure 2 is A LOT harder. We'll see though. It's funny that they give you hints for the colored gems now. Those fucking things took me MONTHS to find as a kid and now they're just giving them away.

Also, for #1, I remember with the special rooms for Cortex and Nitro that you only got one chance and if you failed, it was closed and you had to restart the lvl. Am I remembering things wrong, or did they change this to make it easier? It would have taken me a bit longer if this was the case, not too much longer, but probably another 15-20 tries in total if they did this.

Up to 80% on #2. Fighting with myself on calling it for the day or finishing it. Some of the levels at this point are a total bitch though.

I gotta disagree, I've actually died 20+ times on a few things in 2. The snow level where you gotta go backwards through the skull platform and then the first level of the final area where you gotta go all the way to the end of the level and then backwards without dying so you can get the skull platform and then you gotta make it through the hardest skull plat without dying to get the second gem on that lvl. With 1 I had to redo the temple like 10 times because I kept fucking up, but it wasn't really hard, I was just being impatient.

The regular levels/bosses in 2 are WAY easier, but the special shit is no joke. I was also happy that they don't completely give away all the secrets for #2. Luckily I've got an insane memory and I remembered all the secret areas, but a few of them could be a real bitch to find if you don't know what to look for. Specifically the one where you gotta kill the plant that spits bombs, or where you gotta hop on a bunch of boxes in the water to make it to a little platform and lastly the one where after you finish the level,you gotta slide jump back across to go find the baby bear.

I uh know, seemed way more fucking elaborate and like way more of a pain in the ass than shit was in 1. Iirc though, #3 was a fucking joke compared to #1/#2. I feel like they thought they made the gems too difficult in #2 and dumbed it way down for #3. I'm loving the difficulty in #2, but it won't take me too much longer to 100%. I think my total play time for #2 is around 4.5 to 5 hours right now and I got 5 gems and 3 crystals to go.

i got the plat for 2 first, im close on 3 then im gonna do 1 im loving the collection

i want this game, but the game was to hard for me on the ps1

i never did beat the game on ps1

You should try again. It's still difficult, but way easier than I it was when I was a kid.

100% on 1 & 2 done. I'll start #3 tomorrow. Going to let my kid play for the rest of the day.

That 2nd part is correct, youd have to reach the point without dying and dying in the bonus area would null it. Thats a big change too since I remember that being a pain to do

I think im going to buy it but i wasnt sure how long id enjoy it. I loved 1-3 but that was years ago

I don't know man, I'm getting a pretty big kick out of it. I'm pretty quick with games, and I'm guessing I'm only going to get 15-20 hours total out of all 3, but $40 for 15-20 hours is well worth it imo.
