just not entirely sure on what I should get it on, none of my friends play it but I'm tired of the MMOs I play atm.

pc cuz addons

I haven't got a ps4 or xbox so my vote might not be that important to you but as a new player add-ons help me a lot
Also I've noticed that the community is ridiculously friendly!

I'd say PC and PS4 have the bigger player based, PC being the biggest. And yes you can get addons for PC that can be really helpful

I got it on the Xbox and got marrowind. I don't experience any lag... and I don't feel addons are needed at all. Game is ez enough.

Eso is laggy piece of shit on xbox

Addons are huge. Better ui, customizable everything, market/auction house helpers, etc. Tons of small stuff just to make life easier but hey that's what they're for.

Best Addons (imo):

LUI (UI, player frames)
Combat Metrics (DPS chart) Combat Cloud (Floating numbers)
Skyshards (shows all skyshards on map)
Lorebooks (shows all lorebooks on map)
Tamriel Trade Centre (Auction house listings) Master Merchant (Auction house actual sales) These two compliment each other really well.
Awesome Guild Stores (Gives you a lot more options to specify when buying items from guild stores)
Wykkyd Outfitter (Outdated atm but still works. This allows you to switch item sets and builds with a single click, like Armory for D3)
