Im a young guy, I like big trucks and fast cars, silly stupid kid w/e. I just want to know if anyone has opinions on these cars? I recently test drove one with about 60,000km (44,000 miles ish) And fell in love with it. It has good reviews online etc, Just curious about if anyone has had one of these and the pros/cons/issues from personal experience?

I am a ford guy. I drove a couple mustangs. The challenger was so much more powerful though. And it handled really nice for a big car, whereas the mustangs felt a little floaty as soon as i hit 160-170

Hemi more powerful?

Should take a look at a factory dyno sheet and see which has a more usable powerband.

And as far as floaty goes, suspension upgrades are not that expensive. Panhard, half inch lower, beefier sway bars. You'll notice a huge improvement.

all american cars are floaty except for corvettes, even that challenger you drove was floaty you are just too inexperienced to tell

you dont want that gas guzzling underpowered heavy piece of shit

what you want is a BMW equipped with an N54 or N55

if your budget is under $15k which I assume it is because you picked a challenger "srt8 r/t hemi", you will want to go with a 2008-2009 335i/135i with the n54 i6 twin turbo

if your budget is over $15k you wanna go with the 2009-2012 335i/135i with n55 i6 twin turbo

wouldnt you rather have 500hp and get 30mpg?

Bmw maintenance scares me. I mean im not that inexperienced. I am 27 been driving 11 years. First car was a 5.0 mustang (but an old one i think it was 85 foxbody style.

My budget is 30k ish
Canadian...22.5k usd roughly

BMW maintenance is the same as American. This is a myth from the 90s

You can buy the manufacturer oil filters for $3 on Amazon and it uses the same oil as every other car.

Just go test drive one and you will buy it. They don't charge you for test drives so what will it hurt

The 135/335 Twin Turbos are nice cars, but I would worry about Trans going on those near 100k and costing a pretty penny.

The 2011+ Coyote engine is fantastic. If you checked out a 2010 or newer (2010 was the new body style, but old engine) yea they might not compare that nicely to the Hemi. Just talked to a guy who has a 08 GT (4.6) and his dad has a Coyote, he said night and day difference.

I have a family friend with either a Challanger or Charger, I havent seen it as i only see him in March, and its garaged then. But my dad seen it. He said its a ton of fun, and hasnt had any issues yet. But hes only had it maybe 2 years, 3 summers tops.
