I'm currently in a1 hell with my java but hell p8 is so scary and a near death experience every second.
So I decided I must farm Better gear and gain some more levels (76 atm).
This is What I got so far:

Current mf-gear:
3x perf topaz helm
3x perf topaz armor +33life
sigon boots
sigon belt
sigon gloves
2x nagelrings
34 mf amu
+2 javeins
mosers sock 2x perf dia
switch: life tap want

Current "fight-gear":
Rare circlet 1ama/life/20@res
Nokozan amu
twitchthroe armor
Sigon boots
sigon belt
sigon gloves
2x rare rings with res/stats
+2 javelins
mosers with 2x perf dia
switch: life tap want

Merc:
Eth low insight
tal mask
life leech armor

Stats:
~65 block with mf gear
~75 block with "fight-gear"
rest into vita except gear

20 valk
20 CS
20 Fury
1 into all passive rest
rest into CS synergi

Any suggestions what to farm (area) and what items I should upgrade to manage hell?

I would farm more mephisto for like raven/razortail/titan's/travs since you are using moser's you really want raven for cbf.
It's either nightmare mephisto for more upgrades or slow and steady to LK. My javazon didn't have much better gear than this when I progressed to LK, I would say equal gear or even worse.

I'm currently in the same sitch, slightly higher lvl and gear. So you suggest to rush to LK and farm for HR's? How to deal with LI... Merc dies all the time, and Valk deals zero dmg even when maxed :/

Equip your merc with a treachery armor, life leech helm, and high damage weapon (elite insight works). He shouldn't die if you strategically position yourself well.

Another option is to shop a lower resist charge wand.

Or have a pair of high dmg javs on switch and use jab.

Problem is, one has to get all those things. Hard to come by before you get to Hell.
Got LR wand, but it can't always break imunes

Make 'Treachery' for yourself as well. Provides loads of safety (15% DR + 60@) when Fade is proc'd. The 45 ias is nice too.
