Can someone explain why Matriarchal Bow is better/worse than Grand Matron Bow?

Matriarchal Bow: 33.5 Avg Damage / -10 Speed
Grand Matron Bow: 43 Avg Damage / +10 Speed

I have never played zons (yes, I've played since 2003! I've never played sins either) so I am clueless about their gear, etc.
I found a 5% ED / 4 sockets / +3 Skills Matri Bow recently, and was wondering if it's worthless or not since "everyone wants GMB".

mat bow is useless because it deals no damage

mb is only better if you can't reach frame with gmb.

I used matriarchal bow as bowzon to begin with, for faith, and because it was easier to hit 7 fps bp. It allows for more experimenting with gear while keeping up a fast attack speed, but it does not compare damagewise with gmb. Gmb has over 100 extra max damage, and i think 50 more min dmg, when you make a faith runeword. And that is just on the bow, before all the damage modifiers from auras and items are added. And losing out a little ias with it is negligible.

In my experience, grand matron bow beats matriarchal. You have my word for it ^^ based on years with bowzon experience.

Also for frostmaidens. Because you need a little physical damage to deal with cold immunes, and it works wonderfully, combined with atma's scarab.

BUT i should mention, i keep forgetting, matriarchal bow with ed% like that and 4 sockets are very good for Harmony runeword. Both the bow and the runeword has level 39 lvl req. Although it has quite a high dexterity requirement (187).

Use diamond bow for faith GMB is boof.

Matr bow requires the least ias or 7frame but also hits like a mouse
