I didn't realize role players win finals MVP awards

I mean I understand the numbers argument....but I feel like there is more to his story than that

He's a utility player but has been consistently one of the best at it

He's been the ultimate glue guy for years in the league

Realgm and basketball reference also think it unlikely he'll make the cut, but I think if we look beyond the traditional numbers and to the intangibles you can make a solid case

I'll agree that he was amazing two years ago in the finals and deserved that MVP.

Sounds like Love with the Wolves

Wait no, Iggy was never seen as a top 10 player while playing for a bad team

No, that's not the same thing at all. I just said a WINNING team, the Sixers had a lot of success that first half of the season, when had Love ever been on a winning Wolves team?

Last time I checked the Wolves were awful every year. Iggy did find some success with the Sixers, they were a win away from the Eastern Conference Finals his last year (lost to Celtics in game 7).

Hehe well looks like the poll is gonna end up lopsided as fuck

I was just looking through his stats bc of him being a free agentand stuff and thought there'd be room for a valid argument

Looks like not

He's not a HOF player, but in his best days he was more than what he is now that's for sure.

We can see what he's capable of in the big moments still, Finals MVP...

Basically the Warriors just let him stay healthy and fresh all season then unleash him when they need him rofl.

Lol east

My point was Love looked a lot better on a bad team.

Can you really convince yourself that Iggy was anything more then a role player ?

If it was based on how good a player actually was, then yes, he would.

But it isn't, so he won't.
