I am looking into getting a Desktop, mostly for my (small) business. I want to be able to run cad/cam software like Fusion 360, and upload videos to youtube and facebook etc. Mostly will probably be used for replying to customer e-mails and posting/marketing on the facebook, but I also want to design parts. Touchscreen all-in-ones interest me, so long as they are capable machines, or a regular desktop if the performance is worth the trade off for convenience. WIFI capability would be nice, it would be great if I didn't have to run another wire out to the shop. This is the minimum req's for Fusion 360:

System requirements for Autodesk Fusion 360
Operating System Apple® macOS™ Sierra v10.12; Mac® OS® X v10.11.x (El Capitan); Mac OS X v10.10.x (Yosemite)
Microsoft® Windows® 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10 (64-bit only)
CPU Type 64-bit processor (32-bit not supported)
Memory 3GB RAM (4GB or more recommended)
Graphics Card 512MB GDDR RAM or more, except Intel GMA X3100 cards
Disk Space ~2.5 GB
Pointing Device Microsoft-compliant mouse, Apple Mouse, Magic Mouse, MacBook Pro trackpad
Internet A DSL internet connection or faster

I have purchased from newegg on several occasions now and have always had great experiences with them. I'm not opposed to buying from another site though.

I've looked into this a little and came up with some options, if I'm buying a desktop a monitor doesn't have to be included in the $500 budget, I have monitors I can use if necessary. Also, $500 isn't absolute or inclusive, I could come off a couple more dollars for the right deal. I'm ok with buying refurbs from newegg. I would ideally like to get something with a decent HD, 1tb or more would probably be fine, but it's flexible also, I will probably go with your recommendations....

I am hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. I know this site has some really computer savvy characters floating around, and you've helped me in the past. Thanks for your time!

Remove SSD if you can't increase budget. Fairly close to it.
Honestly, i would get the SSD and remove hdd, you can always add it later on :)

Someone will post telling me it's probably overkill.
But do you want to replace it in 2 years or not ;)

That is great man, thanks for taking the time to piece that together! I wish I had time to build a PC, but these days I am so busy I don't have time to do anything fun like that for myself. I built a couple gaming computers in my younger years, but today I just have too much going on. I was just hoping for something to get me by for a couple years tbh, nothing lasts more than 2-3 years in my house haha..

Thank you though, I do appreciate your time!! I know mine isn't cheap either. ;)

I'm cheap AF
Fight me irl

@op, really any i5 prebuilt is fine. I would add a SSD to it though if not included. Will significantly improve performance. You may also have to add a graphics card if it doesn't come with one. 1050/1050 ti or Rx 460 are good bets imo.

This is why we don't get prebuilts ;)
Def suits your needs tho!

/E yes, price is ~$50 off BUT you lose out on quality parts, OEM's cut corners and don't use great parts. You also lose the standard 3 year warranty you would get if you buy all parts individually.

A little late, but I just ordered the PC, and bought a monitor/keyboard/mouse from newegg.

If I buy the accessories you posted, will they be a plug and play, on top of the existing hardware? I won't have to remove the 1TB HDD for that SSD right?

just an update.. I bought that computer. Had a lot of issues with it so far. First the shipping was almost two weeks, they emailed me 3 days after it was supposed to be here to say there was a delay, another week later they take money out of my account, and 3 days later, the computer arrived. was getting everything set up, and during the setup the keyboard decided it didn't want to work. So I was using the screen keyboard and then it decided it didn't want to work. restarted computer and same thing happened. called dell, they were useless, had me switch usb ports and several different things. restarted computer again several times until everything worked like it should, got everything working, windows was up, installed a couple programs, a day later it updates.... and couldn't connect to my bluetooth speakers. they did a teamviewer thing and decided that my bluetooth drivers didn't install with the last update, so a hard reset was recommended. I reset the entire computer again, and this time something bad happened, it decided it wasn't going to install windows. Called Dell, they went through over an hour of my time screwing around and decided that I needed to reboot the computer from a flash drive with windows 10 on it....... problem, I don't have another computer to load windows on a flash drive, so they wanted me to go to a library the next day where they could walk me through putting windows 10 on a flash drive.... problem, I haven't been to a library in about 10 years, and don't know where one is, nor do I care to waste my time at a damn library. so....

the Dell REP suggested I walk into the local post office with a flash drive and ask them if I can use their computer for a couple hours.

I've never been accused of being a really smart man, but I'm pretty sure that would violate a couple federal laws? No thanks.

So I did what anyone with more $ than brains would do, I bought another new computer. Just went to wally world and picked out the best display model they had for sale, already set up ready to go, an HP pavillion something or other, $500 easy, touchscreen.

So I get it home and think, I don't want this darryn guy to have my passwords and information linked to his gmail and microsoft account, so I youtube'd how to hard reset the HP, without an admin password, and come to find out it's the same way you do a Dell.... so, ....

TL;DR

Now I have two fully functional PC's and am pretty fed up with Dell, it's basically an $800 paperweight for me with the monitor keyboard mouse wall mount etc etc... , so I guess I'll give it to the kids, fuck it.

Lesson of the day, don't screw with cheap shit and a budget, if your not willing to come off the money for a quality product, don't buy anything until you are. I tried to be cheap and ended up shelling out over a grand anyway, would have been a lot better off with a badass machine for 12-1400 in the first place.
