I do it daily. I use a 50 Inch TV as one of my monitors. Many Tvs have a "PC" setting which will enhance the text. Alternatively, you may tweak the settings yourself.

Afterwards, there is no issue that you claim, except for those with bad eyes, which will be subjective and the OP would need to test for himself.

Monitor > TV - I use both but I only use the TV for watching stuff from my desktop.

That being said, a TV isn't awful if it isn't an older TV tbh. I feel much less strain on my eyes gaming on a monitor than a TV though when gaming. Like I said, I only use my desktop on my TV when I want to watch a movie or something.
