I wanna see your wire management after assembling a complete rig in 30 min.
I probably spend at least 30 min alone routing wires.

Hours spent building it

Wat

You're just wrong.

Yes building a PC takes hours for someone who has never done it before lmao.

Depending on the case and components, unless you do it perfectly, a first time build with someone taking their time will usually take 5-10 hours. Second builds yeah you can do properly in an hour or two but it takes time to learn what you're doing carefully.

Nice that you gathered that from my posts.

I guarantee I am more knowledgeable about computers than you are.

My case sits on display in the room for everyone to see. Since its a major focal point due to the size I aim for it to look clean.
Maybe you don't care, but now that I have a place of my own and guests I generally like things to look nice.
I apply this logic to all of my place, sure the kids have their own room but it better look decent as well as being functional.

It's no different then an aquarium or terrarium in my mind. You wouldn't set it up just to function theres obviously some
level of aesthetics you would want out of a finished product.

This is setting aside the benefits of better air flow and ability to work on said rig or just the shear number of us with OCD tendencies.

@Voyaging
5-10 hours is a bit much bro. Hard ware wise like 2 hours tops imo even for new people maybe 3-4 if their solo and using google.
Unless well there thick as molasses.

And in my mind it's no different than bedazzling your ti-84 calculator.
My internals aren't visible from the outside because that's all it really is: a big calculator.

but then if I have someone over it's to see me not my stuff.
