Looking to upgrade computer for less than $1000. Location is 82718.

That is current specs, I'm hoping to change to ryzen and a new gpu. Then I will sell my 480 to get a little cash back.

This is what I had thrown together. Are their better options for around 1k?

Mainly gaming, the only intensive game currently is ark, which is very unoptimized. I definitely need to upgrade cpu and since my 480 is selling for more than what I even paid for it and close to 1080 cost I figured what the hell

You're on a dead end motherboard.

The only way to do a profitable upgrade, is to upgrade the CPU, mobo and RAM. Either Intel or AMD.

You don't upgrade a 6300. Period.

Well, I didn't notice the line and link underneath the GIANT pic, no.

Addendum: Get better RAM and better mobo. Like so...

Wasn't suggesting to upgrade the 6300 on the same mobo, was I?
