and i started 38 points higher than i ended last season

i saw a few diamonds in my placements and plenty of platinums

Finished 8-2 last season; placed 2077 (i finished previous season 2050, so gained 20 sr)

I then proceeded to win 12 games in a row and peaked at 3125.

td:ld you should get amazing SR gains now until you lose.

I noticed this too.

You may feel like you placed low but when you win you get nice amounts of SR.

i think last season i went like 7-3 in placements but then lost like my next 5 games and by the time I was winning again my gains were only in the high 20's
so I am not too thrilled about playing any more matches right now

I went 8-2 and was around/above 3k I believe last season.

Ended at 2700ish after the placements.

Generally it seems that after placements I usually end up ~200-300 SR lower than previous season no matter how I do.

I threw games in my s4 placement and went 0-10 and dropped from 3500 to 3200ish.

Placement matches are designed to put you lower than what you ended last season.. it incentivizes the climb.

10-0 and got placed 3570 something lol
