I've got someone that's debating upon which laptop to get and the games they're wanting to run are Fallout 4 and BDO.

The system requirements for Fallout 4 on PC are as follows:

Minimum:

Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Processor: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0GHz or equivalent
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Hard disk space: 30 GB free HDD space
Video: NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended:

Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Processor: Intel Core i7 4790 3.6GHz / AMD FX-9590 4.7GHz or equivalent
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Hard disk space: 30 GB free HDD space
Video: NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB / AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

Minimum system requirements to play Black Desert Online:

32 bit Windows 7 or 8
Intel Core i3-530 2.9GHz
4gb RAM
GTS 250 / GeForce 9800 GTX / Radeon HD 6770
1280x720 Resolution
45GB of Free Hard Drive Space

Recommended system requirements to play Black Desert Online:

64 bit Windows 7 or 8
Intel Core i5-650 3.2GHz
8gb RAM
GTX 670 / Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280X
1920x1080 Resolution
45GB of Free Hard Drive Space

From what I see it appears that Fallout 4's system requirements are higher than BDO. (Unless I'm misunderstanding something).

Those were the GPU Comparisons of the gfx cards in those laptops vs the "Recommended Nvidia GPU" for the "Recommended Fallout 4 Requirements"

:p Would greatly appreciate help.

From what I saw that one has the better GPU, but is that really better than having the 4 extra GB of ram associated with the HP Omen?

Those two look nice. I'll have to find out if they're able to order it online or if they're strictly wanting to get it from a physical local store.

Also should mention that their budget is only around 1,000~

They said it doesn't have to be able to run on ultra or highest of settings, but somewhere in the medium-high range.

Tell them to save up a bit and get the MSI. They'll be happier in the long run.

Would this be the same one that you just showed me on newegg? It looks like it, but I'm trying to be 100% sure. :p

It seems 50$ cheaper on BB atm. :D

Also how high of settings do you think this will allow with the Fallout 4 or Black Desert Online games while still maintaining 60~ fps.

 Thank you

Naw, the one on Newegg has an SSD and a HDD. Other than that they are pretty much the same.
