For now, that depends on enemy lightning resistance. Nova does great against large swarms of smaller creatures. It does even better if you're tanky enough to sit there in the middle of the pack and spam Nova rather than manoeuvring around just hitting them with the edge of it... but we do what we must to survive! The kill speed is still a lot better than my last WT was (summoning druid with fireclaws backup), so I'm not complaining.

Nova is not great vs single beefy targets like act bosses, or obviously vs highly resistant or immune monsters. It can also be dangerous to use vs stronger packs since you need to be in close proximity for it to hit. In Normal it's no issue because Static Field works at full force there, also there are little to no LI to deal with. In NM I will become increasingly dependant on Hydra for bosses, LI, and even vs any pack that I deem too tough to get close to... Most mighted archers for example will probably be taken out with Hydras from a distance

Despite neither of these spells being the dominant spell... or even the second best spell of their skill trees, I believe that they do compliment each other in a way, and are very fun to use. Glad to hear you'll be following

Much respect, I went charged bolt and burn through mana so fast, I am playing in Classic right now though, so no insight to help out. Level 20 like a bullet lol, once I get to 24 I might respec to one pt Blizzard on my way to Frozen Orb.

The run looks good, I will follow it for sure, good luck.

Thank you all! This will be a fairly casual WT as far as progression goes. I will be able to play at most a couple times per week, but at least when I do play, it will be for 4+ hours at a time

I'm hoping to be able to play this Saturday!! She's just about ready to leave the Lightning tree for the Fire tree ^_^
