I was wondering if anyone has a way that if I send a picture of my restaurant menu, would there be a way to get that turned in a file to edit like the prices and menu items?

Show us what you got and how complex is your menu. If its really basic it can be cut up and thus make it "editable" but its a really poor solution that i would not recommend, and it's not worth the hassle (designers, nor yours).

Second way:
It will have to be remade into clean version with editable text layer. By sending you the master file will enable you to edit the text/prices. You will also need the proper software to open the file.


I can't think of another solution at this time.

It's pretty a basic all text. For the main part atleast we have a separate menu with other items that are mostly text as well but not layered like this.

For programs I just have whatever Microsoft Office Pro offers. I'm open to buy whatever program I will need to edit this though.

This is pretty basic stuff for some work in InDesign, i thought you had one of those fancy menus with watermarks and all the other crap. If I was you, I'd invest some forum cheese and have a guy here retype the whole menu in microsoft word so you have text that you can copy and paste.


Still, wait a bit, I think some of the regulars here will probably come up with a better solution than I did, I am not 100% but i think you can make editable pdfs (InDesign).

AFAIK he is looking for a permanent solution to have editable file, not redesign.

How much will it cost for someone to type this up or to put it into an editable text file would be preferred so I can just adjust the prices.

I just want to be able to edible prices in like a word doc or something that doesn't require too much work.
