so i downloaded a game it got to the point where it says you can play it
i started it and got an error "not enough free space in system storage" figured maybe it was a glitch since not finished

50 gigs later its installed and still having the same error so i figured maybe not enough space for a patch
i have 31.6 gigs free so thers enough space and i checked for update says its latest version


so it wont let me download a 5gig game either
the ps4 memory management is such ass it prob says i have 30 gigs free like i should but it doesnt really
why doesnt sony fix this lol i cant even record it to make a video to send to sony because its not gameplay

Do you have an external drive?I had this happen on xbox when it said i had 1.5 TB left but it was trying to install and update on a game that was on my internal HD which only had a couple gigs left and therefore couldnt update that game. Other then that im not sure what else it could be

u need to always have at least 50-60gig free, lower than that u wont be able to install new games even if its a 5gig one

it's annoying as fuck but you can buy an external hardrive if u don't want to delete games

i was just down to like 10 gigs free now im at 30
they already reserve space for system thats why iots a 500g hd with like 430gigs usuable

because you also have to have free space for upcoming patches for the games... it's just the way they designed the ps4

Sometimes I get the error and even if I delete stuff to make space I can't get it to go away until I restart.

when a game is installed it refuses to start because of the error?
i deleted game and now cant even start the dl rofl i even cleared more space still cant
there needs to be a way yto like scan your HD for how much space it has because this is retarded
