I don't run bots but I made all my fg last ladder reason by buying items that were posted too cheap and reselling. Imo this is the best way to make fg, but requires a lot of game knowledge to know if the items are worth more or not. Many people on ladder are not familiar with prices.

Also, the first few weeks you can make some fg by manually mfing and rushing people on ladder.

Dont bot,

If u like the game: play, if u dont like the game: don't play...
Letting a computer play the game for you = stupid ...

If u start non lad u can easy make a first char of your choice, people tend to give tons of free starter items :)
Then wait until reset: start with a reset team as sorc... U'll be able to mf Andy pretty fast with a random es/orb or a Blizz build :)

This is only playable for a week at most, after that its just pointless cuz everything is so cheap you can make any build you want.
