Hi Guys!

I was thinking about a bit different kind of duel, its a duel between only summon vs summon, but only 1v1.

The most attractive characters are for this:

Amazon - Valkyrie
Necromancer - Golem (no Skeleton Army because of 1v1, and my favorite would be Iron Golem, it can be expansive :) but only if u loose)
Druid - Grizzly (Heart of Wolverine can be summoned next to him, but if the opponent finishes it than u cannot recast till the fight ends)
Assassin - Shadow Master

Rules!

No Hirelings but only because u cannot control them to stay out of the fight.
U can precast on the summon like Ench and BO, but only out of town, and u cannot go back --> this is to avoid using stash for precast items, u need to bring all stuff for duel on ur character (Horadric Cube in inventory is allowed)
U can use aura items, any... and if u choose Iron Golem on Necro than u can combine it with the item's aura if the Golem made of that kind of item
U r not allowed to cast curse on opponent, since u must be totally inactive during the fight, but if u make an Iron Golem from an item which can cast curse on effect than its ok
Btw u can summon any type of summons, but only one (can be one Skeleton or one Wolf)
U can use any kind of character but u need to summon one pet who will be Ur champion (i would mean here the summons casted by an item and not from a skill)

After saying 'Start' if u recast anything than its auto-loose!
If u came out of town and u start precasting but u go back town its also auto-loose! If u have started precasting u need to fight, but after it is ended u can go back to town ofc

If u like the idea pls let me know in the topic
If u can add useful things, pls don't hesitate

Pls add ur opinion on which char build could be the unbeaten champion

If this kind of an idea was already done pls let me know by adding it's link to this topic

Have fun!

Edit: +2 skill shrine is not allowed!
- U can bring Iron Golem into game if its already created, u cannot have advantages like if u create it in a different game with skill shrine on because the game recast the iron golem accorind to ur current skill levels every time u enter to a game, or using waypoints and i think also if u use Town Portals

Grizzlys have by far the highest damage & life of any single non-merc minion in D2 outside of enchant/revive shenanigans, but the fact minions are vulnerable to AI disables makes shadow master pretty much negate other minions. You'd still have to get past regen since SM deals so low dps, but if it could deal poison damage on its random rares that would do the trick since npcs can't regen on any frame they take damage. A shadow master casting level 33 mind blast will stun for 8.4 seconds each time, and cloak of shadows will blind other minions

You still might beat a grizzly with a damage reflect setup on an iron golem for example, but it can't trade hits on damage/hp with a grizzly regardless of weapon, it would rely on disables/curses/auras/etc
also a valkyrie can theoretically hit for more than a grizzly with insane luck, a level 52 valkyrie with a rare 450% ed war pike landing a critical hit and critical strike (quadruples on NPCs unlike players) can deal a max damage of 54824 in a single hit without even including auras, but more realistically you're going to get an average damage of ~3k tops without using maphack to reroll the war pike endlessly

So what you're saying is, make either a 100,000 life clay golem that regens too fast to die or an exile iron golem that has life tap and 30k defense

Either way you can't lose. If your opponent isnt stupid and does the same thing then the duel never ends.

How about single revived Urdar? The time limit may be an ass tho.

you can remove the time limit on revives
the frenzy tree would be better if you can revive those

A smart necromancer would easily win this with the versatility of iron golem and different revives.
He could simply counter any other AI tossed at him by reviving things that were immune to the opponent's damage type.
That or tweak a iron golem towards it.

Iron golem/revives would almost need to be banned for this.
That or ban certain items from being used for iron golem and ban the use of certain revives that have immunity.

Then once you have a 3 page list of rules for summon vs summon you'll realize it wasn't fun to begin with
