Another option is mastercraft something on a white iten, then regal.
If you hit the mod you want, you can bench scour the crafted mod you started with, and have a 1 mod rare that way

yes it does. take some time to hit the mod you want but it is worth if you have the currency to spend/roll.

i do think its worth several tens of exas
could be wrong tho, im not rly good at pricing rare items
