Ok guys, I've some serious problems.

My PC stats:

i5-6500 3.2 Ghz 6 MB LGA 1151
Asus B150 Pro Gaming/Aura Motherboard
Toshiba 3.5" 1 TB SATA HDD 7200 RPM
Kingston SSD 120 GB UV400
Kingston 8 GB DDR DIMM
Liteon 24x DVD writer
Cooler master 431 elite casing
Cooler master 550w elite power supply
Samsung 22" LED monitor
Palit GTX 1060 6 GB graphic card.

Issue:
- Computer crashes every now and then upon clicking something random (can be a file/folder/right click/hovering over). The only resolution is for my to force restart by pushing the power button.
At every point in time, the computer was not under duress or hardwork. Just surfing, alt-tab'd with Diablo 2.
- I would like to minimise this problem and if possible, prevent it totally. This has been happening quite frequently and I don't want to end up with a crashed hard disk.
- I'll like to mention that all these parts were bought barely a year ago.

If it's related, sometimes my razer keyboard and mouse won't be detected upon start up. Can't move mouse or keyboard means I need to force restart again and risk it having a crashed hard disk.

I'm paying 500 fg for a very good fix with proofs.

you can't even fathom the number of possible things that could be causing it or how hard it is for us to diagnose the issue with this amount of information. Could be bad ram, file association registry problems, hard drive failing, kernel level shenanigans, incorrect checksum, race condition, bad cpu, bad motherboard...

I am going to assume it's a hardware issue going by the fact that it started off happening occasionally then became more frequent as time goes on, as hardware failures usually are in my experience, as opposed to just breaking all at once.

Please download this and post what it gives you. We'll nip this in the butt.

Microsoft granted amnesty to pirate with 10 if you want to upgrade. As long as your windows THINKS it's genuine that's good enough
you just need this

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/accessibility/windows10upgrade

Microsoft isn't going to personally comb through the backup it creates for system restore purposes after upgrading to 10 to check if your 7/vista/8/xp is legit, and you'll have a 100% legit copy of 10.

Possible that you have an uncorrectable sector that's impacting your OS in a big way

Not keen to click on that link, pardon me.
I would prefer to retain my windows 7, it's working fast and very fast for me.
Upgrading to windows 10.. did on my laptop and lets just say it slowed it down. Then again my laptop is already 4 years old.
