They'll try to tell you GPS works off cellphone towers. Of course, I remember GPS working quite well in the middle of the ocean in the early 1990s when cell phone towers were still someone's pipe dream.

Works great out in the mountain whenever I go hiking too, even though there's no cell reception for miles.

there is no conspiracy, GPS works fine on the flat earth using ground towers and bouncing signals off the dome and back down...
