i would hope this medical question would fall under science and nature anywho.

i have problems sleeping at night, the only way i can sleep is on my stomach with a fan in my face.

i prop my self up by placing my arm under my chest, when i wake up my arm is numb and red and stays red all day,

is this bad for the circulation in my arm and will it keep getting more red or cause maybe a blood clot etc?

IMO: drink more water, try to do 10 minutes abdominal (belly) breathing when going to bed, and go to see a doctor urgently.

Take a sleeping aid and sleep in a different position for a week. Then you're used to it and you can sleep in a better position.

I'm a physiotherapist. Baxter is a med student. Artur0 is a med student.

To answer your question if they're around: they are around. Donor forum is where you go with these kind of questions. Feel free to PM me, but keep in mind, a physiotherapist is not a doctor lol

/e Please refrain from blindly messaging artur0 with a meds question. I know Baxter doesn't mind them, but it's a little rude to just throw them at somebody else without them being prepared or anything :p
//e RewTheBrave is a lifestyle coach, personal trainer, knowledge of pharmaceutics etc etc. I'm sure he's happy to help also

Med student here.

Your arm is red/numb either because you're compressing a nerve or blood vessel.

Sleeping on your arm can cause decreased blood flow and lead to peripheral ischemia of your blood vessels and should be avoided.
