I know, I know, you're all thinking the same thing:You: "Gee Boozie, you're such a swell/nifty guy for hosting this tourney. Is there anything I can do to show my appreciation?"
Me: "Why yes! There is one thing you can do!
READ THE GOD DAMN RULES!!!"
Here's why you should read the rules:1) There weren't many wolf tournaments before mine, so I had to work from ground zero to come up with this rule set. I've worked hard on it. Please read it so I don't feel like I wasted my time.
2) I'm tired of the "Hey Boozie, am I allowed to used "Cracked Short Sword"? Well, let's just scroll down to the "Gear Restrictions" section shall we? Unperm? Knockback? Slow target? Emit an aura? Cast a curse that affects the other player? Eth w/ no repair or indestructible mod? No to all of these? DING DING DING you may use it! See? If I can figure that out, you can too.
3) If something is truly unclear, you
SHOULD bring it up with me. That helps me improve the rules, which improves the tournament. I really do enjoy hosting tournaments, so I'm always looking to improve.
For those of you that are already familiar with the rules (from last tourney) here are the noteworthy additions (but it doesn't hurt to refresh yourself with all of the rules):- Double Elimination
(Winner of loser's bracket must win twice) <-- Added the clarification in parenthesis to avoid any confusion. This is what I consider double elimination to be. My house, my rules.
- Do not use stash/cube/
inventory pre-buff <-- Added 'inventory' so that people would stop asking about using +skill amulet prebuffs from inventory.
- Shift+Clicking is banned. Both parties must move in equally on 'g', 'go', or '1' <-- I personally don't think it's a big deal, but caused more drama than I wanted to deal with, so we just got rid of it. BYE FELICIA!
- Conflict Resolution Section <-- This is
IMPORTANT. Just read it. Please. Bottom line: Bring up any issues that arise during the match; otherwise, I can't/won't do anything if the match is already done.
If you still have any questions after reading the rules, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE shoot me a PM now to clarify before the tournament starts.
I don't mean to be a dick, I just want the tournament to go silky smooth without any drama. I want you guys to keep coming back, so I want it to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. No one should ever feel cheated, the rules are there for a reason. Please read, understand, and follow them. Cheers!
