i don't watch a lot of anime but i'd like to discover more

i know it's not much info but i want to watch more im probably missing a lot of good anime

i tried bleach it didnt hooked me after 5 episode

i tried fairytale i liked the humor but didnt have time to come back n forgot about it, is it good (only watched 4-5 ep.)

is gundam (something like that) good i remember watching these late on tv when i was a kid

if it can help i really like suda51 stuff in videogames

One Punch Man (hilarious show, good fights, easy to watch)
Hunter X Hunter (starts slow & is on the longer side in terms of # of eps, however it'll be one of your favourite anime if you watch it )
Death Note (dark, some gore, one of my all time favourites)

Hunter x Hunter 2011 is probably my #1 overall. First 10-15 episodes are slow as stated, but holy fuck does it pick up and it gets pretty fucking brutal.

usually for me if an anime didnt hooked me on the first 2--4 ep im leaving it there same goes with series but it's 1-2 ep

Hellsing Ultimate, Claymore and Berserk are all pretty brutal.

Monster is a psychological thriller that's slow but amazing and fairly brutal.

Gantz is a good exercise in depravity and gore

Give HxH 10 episodes at least. It's one of the best Animes ever made. It's not at all kiddy, just gotta give it a few episodes. At one point early on, a kid rips a grown man's heart out, puts it in a bag in front of him and mocks him as he's dying.

i thought that was pretty lame to be honest. the original scene was much better.

I hadn't seen the original when I watched 2011, I got on the HxH train ridiculously late (THANK GOD FOR THAT). I agree with you though, after watching it. However, with 2011 being my first, it was a pivotal moment where you went from felling that this might be another cheesy shonen show for teenagers to being like, "oh, no, this shit is hardcore"

gantz is definitely a good recommendation if hes looking for gore and brutal deaths.
hellsing and claymore are up there as well.

and yeah, imagine being one of those people thats been watching hxh since it started.
