First red flag... the target is in the Walmart parking lot

Be glad it wasn't at Target.

Good lord ... let's let armed untrained citizens arrest people for money...

Surely that will never lead to problems .

This isn't "armed people enforcing the law," it's armed people enforcing bail bonds. Next, you'll be crying that armored truck operators have no business being armed.

Mate - how can you defend this shit? They chased two unarmed and innocent dudes who thought they were the target of gang violence. They rammed their car and shot at them.

Bounty hunting is dumbfuckery. Let the police handle criminals.

Libertarian justice system in action right here.

The existence of "bounty hunters" is one of the dumbest things ever.

Let's hope they all get convicted to dissuade this kind of thing in the future.

you say that, but if a police force asked for an increase in funding to apprehend criminals who skipped bail you'd likely scoff at that. The reality is bounty hunters are a way to apprehend criminals on a budget, while also oftentimes making it a less violent situation. many bounty hunters have restrictions to non-lethals and are also not given privileges to enter property unless under certain circumstances. You could pay a few additional officers 55k+ a year with a Cadillac benefits package or you could offer 500$ cash any time someone skips out on bail. Now of course the relationship between cops, bounty hunters, and the bondsmen is crucial. and any imbalance between these parties can make for serious issues.

imperfect system, yes, rife with issues that need checks to abuse, yes, "one of the dumbest things ever", nah.

Could you point out the part where I defended their actions?

I can point out where you defended their right to be armed and chasing citizens , which is what ultimately led to their actions.....

Stop deflecting based on a straw man

They have a right to be armed. They have a right to enforce the bail contract. They have the right to defend themselves.

They didn't defend themselves, they attacked a car full of people without provocation, their actions are not entitled to protection, nor should they be. There's no straw man here Phil.
