winning matches gives extra research points
there is an extra booster every day that u get from assault arcade battles (tank or planes) - your team plays vs AI's waves of enemies.
The small extra missions adds lion currency but also warband currency - something that i didn't see until late, it's not much unless u play really well, but it's something. They also disappear after the d-timer has gone out, so make sure to use them.. I didn't know that so I lost what i had collected.
Right now i offer this:

120fg for rank II
last two unlocked in just about 30-35 minutes of game play.
