The Horford signing hasn't produced anything of substantial value (especially considering the cost), but it is part of a process

The Celtics are improving. In the final year of this contract, Lebron is going to be 35. At that time, Horford could potentially be the 3rd or 4th best player on a contending team.

Obviously there's a lot of progress to be made between then and now, but the Celtics weren't in position to get anyone better this year. At least they took him off the Hawks, which set back one of the teams that had been competition for the Celtics.

Depends .... if I could have Al Horford for like 1 or two years at mid cap salary exception or even a few mil as a role player I'd say go for it

He played mint yesterday though fellas. A big reason behind the 4th quarter stomping. He continues like that in the playoffs and that's worth the signing alone.
