One would think slapping "2.0" on the actual name of the game when you load it up would mean a sequel... a fresh start... something new. In the case of Heroes of the Storm, it seems "2.0" is just referring to a patch number... (pause for a reminder of how many patch numbers Diablo III has gone through).

I logged in to see how they handled this, and here are my complaints:

1) Old players are punished, new players are rewarded. The giant hero bundles are great for someone who doesn't own anything. Long-time players get basically nothing.

2) "2.0" doesn't mean anything. The game is the same. Same maps, same heroes. There has been no significant fundamental changes or improvements to the core of the game.

3) The new loot chest idea is lame. Clear money grab. And the content is all hollow... skins aren't exciting, voices and sprays are boring.

4) Pulling a legendary or epic from the loot pack feels no different from pulling anything else. I got 4 legendary loot packs, one included a duplicate, and I didn't reroll because I had no idea what the hell I would get.[/B][/B]

I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I think the new stuff they added is great.

Sure emojis, banners, and voice lines are pretty gay/retarded but skins are cool and so are mounts...and so is getting them for free.

Also, if you look at 2.0 vs the release of HotS....there are like 15-20 new heroes since then, as well as 4-5 new maps....lots of changes.

Yep I agree lots of changes. Too much stuff for me though, feels too clunky now until you get in game.

I left because the game was pretty repetitive & boring. Re-installed just to see what the 2.0 was about. Uninstalled again tho.

I used to play a lot, only missing 7 heroes I think right now (was able to buy a couple when I logged on with gold).
