Because social progress is always way behind the changes in technology.

Incest being frowned goes back to a different time. It was before the advent of birth control. It was also before the revolution of sexual awareness. Nowadays, men and women regularly have sex with each other without a risk of pregnancy (either with birth control or by using different orifices for penetration). Before all this, there was a time when sex/marriage/reproduction were all indelibly linked to one another (they were practically synonymous). In that world, it made sense to discourage incest. It's probably gonna take us a hundred years or so for our social norms to finally catch up to our new practical reality.

Oh man, a young-earther. Can't decide if that's worse than flat-earthers or better. I feel like it's slightly better, a 6000 year old Earth is marginally easier to believe in than a flat one.
