OK, the rules:

You have a time travel machine that will only go back in time, not forward (and will return to the present day when completed)
You cannot leave the machine to interact or alter the past, you can only watch and record it for proof when returning
You and the machine will be invisible and silent, so nobody or nothing else will know you are there.
Just assume there is food and toilet in the machine if you plan on being there a while to record the event you chose.
The machine is quite large, so you will have to hover outside a dwelling or cave etc. and look down if it cannot fit inside said area you wish to view.

So what event would you travel back to see and record?

I would go back to just before the great flood and watch Noah build the Ark.
I would record the time he loads the animals and see if he really did load 2 baby brachiosaurus like it suggests in the Bible
