This is an insult to the scientific community and ironically it's disrespectful to people anywhere on the sexuality spectrum. Everything about this was bad.

The sexuality of other people is not my concern, but I really feel this is the wrong approach to popularizing it's acceptance. And I think we can all agree the singing was just terrible.

How is that insulting? I mean it was fucking retarded and they could have at least got someone who could actually sing. The lyrics were bad and I disagree almost completely with it, but it isn't insulting. People are allowed to have their own opinions.

Because Bill Nye is known as the "science guy" and in recent years has publicly debated climate change deniers and creationists for the sake of education. Hes a popular figure among science enthusiasts. But what hes done with his new show is incorrectly blended politics, science, and person belief into one package and is selling it as "science". It makes real scientists look bad to be associated with this guy, which I why i feel it is an insult to the scientific community.

All scientists do that. Not to mention just because he hosts the show doesn't mean he has complete creative control, putting up with things like this once in a while is a small price for the valuable spotlight that gets put on the more important things. Also yes that was imo stupid in every way imaginable but it is still an important issue.
