i said unless you can, idk if you can or not
do you have a skylake processor to throw in there temporarily?
I got nothing. Trying to plan out what to buy.

Personally i would have gotten a smaller hdd and bigger ssd. Having used the 212 evo i can say it's a decent performer but overhyped and nowadays no longer the price/perf king.
Also would have opted for a Gigabyte 1080 but that's just brand preference, MSI makes great cards.
If you're set on using the 7700k you may as well push it for all it's worth and OC it. That motherboard's VRM's are pretty beefy, there's no reason not to do it. It's free performance. Spend a few extra bucks on a better cooler and enjoy the best single thread perf. money can buy. Otherwise you may as well just go Ryzen.
From what I gather, 7700k performs better for 1080p gaming which is why I chose it. Thoughts.

Do wonder why you would even get such a motherboard for this build, with the other components you have listed (1 gpu, 2 drives, 2 sticks of ram lol) and not wanting to OC you could have got a budget micro atx H110 board. Or do you think BIGGER and MORE EXPENSIVE = better when it comes to mobo? Not really you're just basically paying for more expansion slots most of the time, and in this case chipset features you arent intending to use.
Just for some future proofing I suppose. Possibilty to expand RAM. M2 get some SSD. I dunno.
