What interests me the most is why hispanics don't follow the traditional immigrant mentality and follow the tried and tested recipe for socioeconomic gain (education). Yellows and browns seem to have it figured out even through the parent generation is pretty comparable to the Hispanic counterpart in terms of socioeconomic

Rather the value for education the parents hold, which yes is likely correlated to the actual level of education but is by no means a requirement

Id say this is probably quite true, in my own life I excelled in school until my parents divorced. But that could be coincidental, since they divorced when I was 13 and had just started experimenting with partying lol

sounds a lot like many of my friends growing up. parental split frequently led to trouble. then there were the ones who didnt even know who daddy was cuz he split right quick. A few made it fine but many did not and its sad since they didnt even get a fair shake about it.

The ones that did tended to find father figure(s) either through sports or another family member. For males at least this seems to be a key positive factor.

Would that promote more wealth equality (socialism) to raise the average in a country ?

If the wealth comes free then you don't learn any of the values like hard work

Poor people that win the lottery just end up poor again
