was doing mid 140s @31hz with the ermagerd on a JL 1000/1. out of the country now so don't have time to fine tune the system

So I had to send my zx1500 out to Shane this week for repair

Got the itch and wired my hifonics 1700 at .5 ohm and to my surprise she doesn't mind it, I definitely have the electrical no drop getting 14v, dd1 should be here today so then I can turn it up a bit

Didn't think it would go .5 lol


Guy backed out on shipping the kx2500 so I'm back to looking for an amp if someone has one Fs I need 2k at 2ohm or a small .5 stable amp that will do about 2k at .5

So the hifonics ate the sa 10s(it was my fault I think I was clipping with the zx1500 B4 I got my dd1) ordering recones today would anyone be interested in a how to video?

Dd1 is a complete waste of money.

Why do you say that

Because anything with SMD on it is a waste, I hate that guy lol.
Nah really though DD1 is decent but with a DMM and some time/knowledge you can basically get the same results.

/e dont need a how to video but would be fun to watch a video of your recone.

The dmm is one thing but for the average guy not getting the 14.4v his amp was rated at, trying to tune his 1500watt to 1500watts ends up in clip city

But it's better to understand how electrical works and to learn how to clamp and use the formulas I agree but dd1 is kind of fool proof unless u have more amp then sub then common sense comes in to play and the dmm comes out

I have 13.9v @ .5ohm in my truck, but other people may not..... I have a dedicated 220ah battery bank and 150amp alternator, plenty for what I'm doing.


But like I said for the average guy, most people don't have their shit set up properly, and there are so many variables involved u cant tune an amplifier to its max capacity safely that way

and especially kids that buy a cheap amps that are overrated , trying to set a amp that does 1krms on given electrical but trying to set voltage for 1500rms and your clip city.. again

and I didn't pay "New" price for mine anyways.. and I assume that's your problem is that its 150$, definitely opriced but way cheaper then an accurate oscilloscope

How do you find out weather your head unit distorts? and at what volume? did you just buy an oscilloscope unnecessarily when you could have just used the trusty dd1?
